David Butler

David is one of the founders of Altitude and has been part of the business since we opened in 1989. His official title is Workshop Manager but he's involved in all the major decisions for the business. A road cyclist to the core, David has cycled throughout France and Spain along with his club friends from Comeragh Cycling Club, of which he is currently Chairman. He has also completed the Mondello 24 hour event as both a solo cyclist and as part of a two man team. His current bikes are a Scott Addict and a Trek Emonda SLR Project One.

Emer Bray

Emer has worked at Altitude since 2012 and is our other Assistant Manager. Emer manages all the Customer Care at Altitude as well as looking after much of the administration, stock management and invoicing as well as Sales. A self-confessed non cyclist, Emer loves to travel with New York holding a special place in her heart although the arrival of her two daughters Mia and Cleo has somewhat clipped her wings! Who knows, maybe when the two girls start cycling we'll get Emer on a bike yet!

Daniel de Vynck

Daniel is originally from Hermanus in South Africa and his family moved to Ireland in 2021. Before coming to Ireland, Daniel had worked in Village Cycles and Euodia Cycles in Hermanus and had worked as mechanical support on the Cape Epic MTB event. Daniel mostly works in Sales in Altitude, but he can assemble bikes when required and is an occasional video star on Altitude social media. Currently studying engineering at SETU which means there's not much time for cycling but he has been known to be towed up the hills by Jamie and Peter on his non-electric Giant dual suspension MTB.

Jamie Merriman

Jamie is one of our two senior bike mechanics with a speciality in working on Di2, hydraulics and eBikes. Jamie has been a member of the team since 2019 and is one of the very few people to have completed every single module on the Trek Training system. While Jamie has competed up to Junior in Road Racing, he's now a fully fledged mountain biker. He runs a custom Trek Rail as his personal bike and his dog Duke comes to work with him each day.
